Social Systems
Social systems research at NICO involves the measurement and modeling of social behavior from minute differences in speech patterns to the complex dynamics of interactions among cultural groups. NICO’s scientists are worldwide leaders in nascent social science fields such as the science of science and the science of team science, both of which examine the ways in which human biases and social networks shape the dissemination and interpretation of information that becomes accepted knowledge.
